Backup compatibility issues with the devices:

  1. Basic phones: Backup assistance is compatible with all the basic phones.
  2. Androids: It is available on all the android devices, except for Motorola Droid and Devour or Droid Eris by HTC.
  3. iPhone 4: It is presently not available for iPhone 4.
  4. Blackberry: Available on all phones except for the older one, so, if you are upgrading to Blackberry then it would not be a problem.
  5. Windows mobile: Backup assistance is not available on the windows mobile devices.
  6. Palm OS: it is also not available on the devices supporting palm OS.

Once you found that your device is compatible with the Verizon wireless backup assistance, now you can proceed to next step.

Now once you are done with the setup you will want to backup your contacts. This can be done in two ways: by manual backup or scheduled backup.

Manual Backup: You can backup all your contacts manually.

  1. Open the backup assistance in your device.
  2. Now select backup now.

Scheduled daily backups:

  1. Open the backup assistance application.
  2. Select the option and then schedule.
  3. The application will provide you with four timing options; morning, afternoon, evening and late night. You can choose whatever suits you. The device will create a backup at the specified time if any change occurs.
